A ship in the harbor is safe,…

…but that is not what a ship is for.
Will adventure and discoveries come to the ship in the harbor?
No they won’t! The comfort zone is not where we were meant for,
we were meant to explore the earth,
endure the occasional bee stings, eat the sweetness of the land
enrich lives; our and others
and make life better than what it was before we came.

we weren’t meant to seek safety in captivity, tied to a spot,
watch the tide of life rise and fall, come to us and wash all over us, dirt and all;
we were meant to have the freedom to take the risk and ride the wave
and surrender completely to nature to take us away
from where we have no control over what comes to us;
Freedom gives us the chance to choose a direction, it may not be the right one,
but we at least get to choose what we really want.
