“What we do for ourselves dies with us…” – Albert Pike.

No flesh can live forever.
except the one that chooses to live for others;
the selfless works for others and for the world.
and the world immortalizes their names in books and words

and in all indestructible ways real geniuses
are preserved through the ages for eternity;
the flesh that seeks immortality seeks no self-glory,
they seek the freedom and the wisdom of reason:

‘Why am I here?’ they always ask,
‘I am here not to preserve my flesh that must die,’ they realize
‘But to deliver a service to humanity that will never die’
This answer gets them through the darkness to the light,
The light that transforms mere mortals into immortals.

“What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.” – Albert Pike
