“The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing… not healing, not curing… that is a friend who cares.” – Henri Nouwen.
Although it’s hard to say it but the truth is;
in your moment of deepest grief, nothing, not even the sweetest words from your most trusted friend can heal you.
Though loved ones and true friends will spend time with you and show you deep love, you are the only one who can heal yourself.
So when you are grieving, remember this; that the real healing comes from within you. And it is the determination to love more and give more of you to the service of humanity while you are still living. This determination will speed up the healing process.
