“Shallow men believe in luck or in circumstance. Strong men believe in cause
and effect.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Shallow people believe in excuses and genies
but also believe that Ali Baba with the magic lamp is a mystery,
for them cause and effect is only day and night,
everyone’s portion is as the gods decide,
so for them, order is nonsense,
the cart can pull the horse in reverse,
but water follows its course and has its level,
everybody is most useful where they are strongest,
as long as you don’t get up and find yours,
you will continue to wait fruitlessly for luck.
