One sometimes finds what one is not looking for, but most often, what is found accidentally, is discarded quickly.
By discarding too quickly, you may be walking away from a goldmine, buried under a heap of rubbish. Before you discard because it’s not what you wanted, why don’t you see how you could make the best out of it? It could be an opportunity to rise.
It’s okay to have standards and specifications but it’s wrong and suicidal to be held hostage by them. Be flexible in your approach because many great opportunities are lost to rigidity and intransigence. So, make it a habit to search for an opportunity in every situation that goes against your expectation. You never know, you may find something very big.
According to Kobe Bryant,
“Everything negative – pressure, challenges – is all an opportunity for me to rise.”
