The Waking By Theodore Roethke – Wake To Sleep.

on

“I wake to sleep,

and take my waking slow.

I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.

I learn by going where I have to go.,”

learn by feeling,

taking action is beginning,

nothing ventured nothing done,

wake up brightly and rise with the sun,

where’s the place? Very far, not near,

but the farer you go, the closer it gets,

“And is near.

I wake to sleep,

and take my waking slow.

I learn by going where I have to go.”
